Resiliency imageHazard Mitigation Plan Project
In an effort to increase the disaster readiness and resiliency of the schools within our county, the Trinity County Office of Education (TCOE) is leading the development of a hazard mitigation plan. This document will include a risk assessment of hazards present to Trinity County schools and an action plan to reduce those risks.

The Trinity County Resource Conservation District (TCRCD) has been contracted with (via a public procurement process) to facilitate the plan development. This project is funded by a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

WHAT IS A HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN?  A hazard mitigation plan is a 5-year plan which focuses on hazard risk identification and mitigation planning. Public outreach and involvement are a required component in the planning process.
